The vicious ruthless fake lawyer, Samantha, was able to convince Rachel to fight back with just as much cruelty that Leslie had.  As a result, Rachel’s allowance grew with some spare cash for “emergencies”.  Cash that Samantha could use.  There was no excuse for her not donating a quarter million.  Samantha called it predetermined fate for Leslie and Rachel’s future.

The day of the big reveal, Samantha and Rachel checked out the account together, laughing with delight.  They had won the battle.  But Samantha was getting impatient with Rachel.  Two weeks had passed and she hasn’t donated her quarter million.  Rachel was more relaxed and instead of donating, she went on shopping sprees, which made Samantha nervous.

Rachel walked in with a bunch of shopping bags. Samantha gave her a fake grin.

“Shopping again?  Having fun, huh?”  Samantha asked.

“Yep, thanks to you.  I couldn’t do it without you.”  Rachel smiled as she sat down on the couch.

“By the way, you remember about that fundraising thing that your supposed to contribute to?”  Samantha was getting edgy.  She was tired of seeing Rachel so chummy with her now that she had money to spend on herself.

“Yeah, I remember, but I don’t know if it’s a good idea to spend that kind of money on that.  I still don’t know how the divorce might end up.  It’s too much of a chance.”  Rachel said.

“But you promised.  It’s for a good cause.  We would be able to change the outlook of our people.  Accepted once and for all.”  Samantha said with irritation.

“I’ll think about it some more.  I’ll definitely do it after the divorce.  Right now, there’s some uncertainty.” Rachel said confidently. She had learned to stand her ground and push through everything.  Samantha had taught her that.

“Sure.”  Samantha said.

Rachel left the room with her bags, leaving Samantha alone. Samantha went to the kitchen where her laptop was and logged into Rachel’s account.  She needed to see for herself just how much uncertainty there was. Leslie had given her half a million dollars which was just sitting there in her checking.  She didn’t transfer it to her savings.  Samantha wondered if she had this much in her checking, what did her savings look like.  Rachel wasn’t completely stupid.  She would never give access to the savings no matter how much she tried to persuade her.

Pissed off, Samantha went back to the living room to write a check for the foundation.  Rachel always laid her pocketbook around.  She wrote two checks out in Rachel’s name, one for a quarter million and another for the rent she should be paying.  Then she grabbed the keys and headed out.

“I’m going to see the girls!”  Samantha yelled out.

“Okay, see you later!”  Rachel replied.

Soon after, Rachel walked out of the room half naked, pulling on her brand-new dress.  She grabbed her pocketbook to look for her earrings that had falling off earlier. She noticed her checkbook was partially out.  She flipped through the book and saw the carbon copy of what Samantha wrote out.

“What the?”  Rachel said aloud.  A quarter million dollars to the foundation to help the gay community, with a fake signature.  Rachel’s heart raced.  Leslie was going to find out and was going to kill her.  She didn’t know what to do.  It’s been five days since she last checked her bank account and the checks were made out two days ago.  She hardly ever uses her checks.  If it wasn’t sticking out she wouldn’t have noticed it.  She immediately called Samantha.
