They told me so
I didn’t listen
My mother died long time ago
I didn’t believe

Instead I turned my back on it
I saw the ocean and the rivers flow
The sky so blue
It smiled at me with its whiteness
And then sprinkled some sense

Yes, indeed I was an orphan
Taken out and brought about
To see what the world has for me
There was no line to tell
What I was about
Or will one day be

I had my own to narrate
For I was my own crown
And destiny
